Before getting into this study, be sure you know what heaven is…..(see study  Where is Heaven and When do we get there?)

The supplier of spirit, of faith and of love is Jesus Christ, and only Jesus Christ.  And that supply is found only in heaven.        _______________________________________________

What Church do you belong to?
What denomination holds your membership?
What religion are you a part of?                                                                                                 Whose doctrines do you adhere to?

My citizenship is in heaven.  My allegiance is to Jesus Christ.  Alone.

Philippians 3:20   For our citizenship (polites) is in heaven; from where also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

If our citizenship is in heaven, then our politics are heaven’s politics.  Our policies are heaven’s policies.  Our thoughts are the thoughts of him who rules heaven,  Jesus Christ, earth’s and heaven’s (and our) Lord.

Nobody who, in their heart, belongs to an organized Church or denomination looks for the Lord Jesus Christ.  In that part of their heart where they are belonging to a physical, a five-senses, group or organization of people… in that part of their heart they do not look for the Lord Jesus Christ.  In that part of their heart they have already found a home, and it’s not heaven, it’s that group of people.

There is so much confusion, weakness, hardness and unfulfillment in belonging to these religious groups, as if they were a spiritual group.  Generally they have some truth, but a lot of error, and so the end result is weakness of spirit of faith and of love.  Hey, there is some of each of those things there… but it is so often conditional and in limited supply.

The supplier of spirit, of faith and of love is Jesus Christ, and those spiritual qualities are only discovered in the spirit of Christ within.  Our ever present access to the supply of heaven (the spiritual realm) is located in Christ, and there the supply of spirit and of faith and of love is absolutely limitless!

Until your heart belongs to Jesus Christ alone, and your spiritual home is heaven alone, the power, presence and wisdom of God will be severely limited in your heart and life.

Ephesians 2:20-22  And (you) are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building is fitly framed together and grows unto a holy temple in the Lord; In whom  (Christ) you also are built together for a habitation of God by means of the spirit.

Your home is God’s home… heaven!  God dwells in heaven, and God dwells in his family, the one true church, the body of Christ.  In this body, there is only one single head, and all members are to be interconnectedly joined to that one single head, Christ.

Ephesians 4:15, 16   But living out the truth in love, (we) may grow up into him in all things, who is the head, Christ; From whom the whole body is fitly joined together and is compacted by that which every joint (relationship) supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part (member/believer), and it (each relationship) makes increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

We connect with others, but our allegiance is to Christ alone, and our spiritual home is heaven alone.  The strengthening of Christ’s body comes by means of each relationship between (at least two) members of the body of Christ.  Some of these relationships may include…

Ephesians 4:11   And he (Jesus Christ) gave (to the body) some apostles and some prophets and some evangelists and some pastors and teachers.

When a relationship between (at least) two believers includes one of the above ministries,  that person who is operating as a minister will be under the other believer, serving them in a supportive way; not leading in a coercive, me-versus-you mentality.   They will be serving as Christ serves, in the spirit of faith and of love – kind, tender, compassionate, understanding, wise; not heavy-handed, domineering, impatient, emotionally led and appealing to emotions.  Not condemning, judgmental (of people); not focusing on sin and people’s shortcomings, but rather seeking to add Christ into others’ lives.

Jesus Christ does certainly work through people in order to spiritually connect, spiritually supply, spiritually serve and spiritually strengthen; but it is Jesus Christ doing that work of service, and not that minister by their own will and power.  Since Jesus Christ is the one doing the work, he won’t be leading people into fleshly pursuits of self-betterment; rather, he will be leading them into closer relationship with himself and thus, his Father God.

Philippians 3:7-9   But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.  Yea, doubtless, and I reckon all things loss for the excellency of the intimate knowing (epignosis) of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have endured the loss of all things, and do count them as dung, that I man gain Christ, And be found in him, not having my own righteousness which is of the law (by my own behavior), but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Your spiritual home is heaven, seated in Christ at the right hand of God, your spiritual Father.  You are created in your Father’s image, destined to become more and more like Him.  In Christ you are as free as God Himself to express your life, the eternal life of Christ within, in any way your heart desires.

Colossians 3:1-4   Since you are then risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  When Christ our life shall appear, then shall you also appear with him in glory.

Stand against any influence which seeks to limit your options, limit your freedom.  Stand against any mentality that indicates you must place your allegiance in the hands of another person or make your spiritual home with a physical group.  For you have only one true spiritual head, Jesus Christ.  And you have only one true spiritual home, heaven.

Galatians 5:1  Stand fast in the liberty with which Christ has made us free, and be no longer entangled with the yoke of bondage.

In allegiance to Jesus Christ alone; and in the living out your life from heaven, enjoy every relationship you enter into.  Serve to and share with others that which fills your heart – the spirit of your Father and of your Lord Jesus Christ.

About stevehartlaub@gmail.com

I'm a 73 year old spiritual adventurer in life, but I don't really get along with organized religion. I find it too passive, too worldly, too conforming, too powerless ... though I know many wonderful believers involved in it. I have been a seeker of Jesus Christ since 1974 in Ketchikan, Alaska. Very early into my spiritual journey, I came to the realization that I wouldn't be able to last long in this new Godly relationship without becoming able to understand the Bible. God supplied that need, and shortly thereafter I became interested in Biblical research ... Greek, word studies, HOW the Bible is designed to be understood, its customs, etc. I married Sharon in 1985 in Vancouver, Canada. I have 5 children - 3 girls, 2 boys....ages 30-36. All were homeschooled. 3 are happily married. I have 8 grandchildren. I have taught and studied the Word of God in informal gatherings in England, Scotland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Canada, Alaska, Nevada and all over the United States. In 2006 I became aware of God calling me into the revelation of the glorified Christ within, and I have been involved in making that revelation known since then. I recently moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas, after living in Fitchburg, Wisconsin (suburb of Madison) since 1990.. If you're ever in the area, please look me up. I am a retired house painter, and God is providing for my wife and I abundantly! I am meek to the instruction of God...which often occurs while another person is speaking! So don't be afraid to comment on any of these studies. Because my heart is open to my master teacher, Jesus Christ!
