On Becoming Perfect – We can’t be perfect, right!? Yet God expects us to be perfect. He also defines and explains that seemingly impossible standard – to the end that we can understand and easily see how it is to be obtained and lived out in our lives.

Dead Works and the Spiritual Raindance – Oh the mental, physical and emotional “dances” the religious man will perform in order to get God to love him, or at least not visit His wrath upon him.  All a total waste of time.

The Illusion of Control – We can waste so much time and effort in living under the illusion that we can control other people, or that we need to, in order to be happy and content.  See how foolish and harmful this illusion really is.  What could life be like without this illusion in our lives?

Systems of Error – There are whole systems of erroneous thinking and believing within which the logic is sound.  If I say “It’s never cloudy on any Tuesday” and “Today is Tuesday,” then sound logic would conclude, “It can not be cloudy today.”  That is correct logic, but because one of my premises (the first statement) is erroneous, then even though my logic is sound, my conclusion is erroneous.  Find the false premises in life, and life becomes so much easier and powerful.

The Inefficiency of God – God is not wasteful, but is He really efficient?   When I think of God I think of abundance, which itself means inefficient.

The Law of God – In Christ we are free from the law … of Moses, which deals with our flesh.  But are we free from the law which God writes in our hearts?  Discover the freedom to be had when God writes His law in your heart.

Bearing Spiritual Fruit – The fruit of the spirit.  What is it?  How do we get more of it?  How does it benefit our lives as well as those around us?  How important is it to God?    A look at John 15:1-8.

Water in a Dry Land – Social media, as well as the news the world sends our way in any form, leaves us thirsty, parched, crying out for spiritual moisture.  What does it add to our lives?  Turn it all off and turn on your desire for the things of Christ, where God will completely satisfy every bit of thirst you have.

The Obedience of Faith – How do we obey God?  The term, “the obedience of faith” is explored to the end you can completely understand, relate to and thus be able to walk in this obedience of faith.

The Yoke of Humility and Meekness – Jesus talked about taking his yoke upon us.  What does that mean?  What’s it good for?  What’s the difference between humility and meekness?

About stevehartlaub@gmail.com

I'm a 73 year old spiritual adventurer in life, but I don't really get along with organized religion. I find it too passive, too worldly, too conforming, too powerless ... though I know many wonderful believers involved in it. I have been a seeker of Jesus Christ since 1974 in Ketchikan, Alaska. Very early into my spiritual journey, I came to the realization that I wouldn't be able to last long in this new Godly relationship without becoming able to understand the Bible. God supplied that need, and shortly thereafter I became interested in Biblical research ... Greek, word studies, HOW the Bible is designed to be understood, its customs, etc. I married Sharon in 1985 in Vancouver, Canada. I have 5 children - 3 girls, 2 boys....ages 30-36. All were homeschooled. 3 are happily married. I have 8 grandchildren. I have taught and studied the Word of God in informal gatherings in England, Scotland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Canada, Alaska, Nevada and all over the United States. In 2006 I became aware of God calling me into the revelation of the glorified Christ within, and I have been involved in making that revelation known since then. I recently moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas, after living in Fitchburg, Wisconsin (suburb of Madison) since 1990.. If you're ever in the area, please look me up. I am a retired house painter, and God is providing for my wife and I abundantly! I am meek to the instruction of God...which often occurs while another person is speaking! So don't be afraid to comment on any of these studies. Because my heart is open to my master teacher, Jesus Christ!
