Gifts for the Asking
II Tim 1:6 For this reason I remind you to stir up the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
I Timothy 4:14 Do not neglect the gift which is in you, which was given to you through prophecy at the time the body of elders laid their hands on you.
II Corinthians 6:1 As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain.
I Corinthians 12:4-6 There are different gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different services, but the same Lord. There are different energizings, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
Ephesians 4:7 But to each one of us grace has been given according to the measure of our reception of the gift of Christ.
I Corinthians 12;7-13 …..The manifestation of the Spirit, given to each believer for a specific profit for all concerned, are:
1) a message which carries Wisdom
2) a message which carries spiritual Knowing
3) Faith
4) Gifts of Healing
5) a working of spiritual Power
6) Prophecy
7) Discerning Spirits
8) Speaking in tongues
9) Interpretation of tongues.
All of the above are energized by the one and self same Spirit according to how each believer wills to manifest them.
Romans 12:6-8
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.
If your gift is prophesy, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;
If it is serving, then serve;
If it is teaching, then teach;
If it is to encourage, then give encouragement;
If it is giving, then give generously;
If it is to lead, do it diligently;
If it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
Romans 12:4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function.
I Corinthians 12:14, 18, 27 For the body is not one part, but many. But now God has set every part in the body as it has pleased Him. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
I Corinthians 12:31 Now desire earnestly the gifts most needed; yet I show unto you the most excellent way concerning these gifts.
I Corinthians 13:1ff ….. love ……
Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, you have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion for the flesh, but by love serve on another.
